AbhiLasha Kumari, the Former Chief justice of Manipur High Court and the daughter of Virbhadra Singh, former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh has taken the Oath as the new member of Lokpal of the country on 27 March.

Abhilasha Kumari’s father, Virbhadra Singh and her mother Pratibha Singh were present in the Oath ceremony.
Abhilasha Kumari was greeted by Himachal Pradesh Congress President Kuldeep Singh Rathor. Other congress leader like General Secretary Rajneesh Kimta, Political Secretary Hari Krishna Himaral, Media panelist Yashpal Tanayak and Secretary Media Baldev Thakur also sent their wishes to her and said its a pround moment for Himachal Pradesh.
Other big personalities like Ex-Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and senior minister in the Chhattisgarh government T S Sing Deo were also there at the time of Oath taking.
About Abhilasha Kumari
Abhilasha Kumari is a famous name, as she is the daughter of former HP chief minister Virbhadra Singh and daughter-in-law of Royal Family of Bhavnagar. She started her career as Advocate in 1984 in HP High Court. She also served as the additional advocated General of Himachal Pradesh. She was elected as High Judge in 2005. Then she was promoted and transferred as permanent judge in Gujrat Hight Court. On February 09, 2018 she got promotion and took the charge as the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court.
