Prashar Lake

Prashar Lake is situated in the Mandi District of Himachal and is about 50 KM from the main city. This lake is situated at the altitude of 2730 m above sea level. The Prashar Lake is known for its beautiful surroundings. Many kind of fishes can be found in the Prashar Lake and many species of migratory birds come in this lake every year.

Chandra Taal Lake

With maximum length of 1 KM and width of 0.5 KM, Chandra Taal Lake is another famous lake of Himachal Pradesh which is located in the Spliti area of Lahul and Spiti district. Chandra Taal Lake is located at the height of 4,300 meters.

There many mythological beliefs associated with the Bhrigu Lake and one of which is that this lake has got is name after name of Maharishi Bhrigu. Renuka Lake

Renuka Lake is situated at the height of abut 672 m above the sea level in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The Renuaka Lake has a circumference of 3214 m which adds it to the list of one of largest lake in Himachal Pradesh.

Renuka Lake has some very good attractions and things to do like a mini Zoo and lion safari. Visitors can be enjoy boating also. In the month of November a fair is held at Renuaka Lake and huge rush of tourist and local visitors can be seen here during this month.

Due to these so many activities, Renuka Lake is also one of the most visited Lakes of Himachal Pradesh. Renuka Lake got its name from the Goddess Renuka.

Rewalsar Lake

Located about 23 KM to the West of Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh, Rewalsar Lake is situated at the altitude of 1360 m above sea level. Rewalsar Lake has high religious importance to various religions including Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists.

The main attactions near Rewalsar Lake are three Hindu temples which are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna and the sage Lomas. In additions to these three Hindu Temples, tourist can pay their visit to three Buddhist monasteries. Suraj Tal

Surya taal is located at the altitude of 4890m in the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. Suraj Tal is also known by another name Surya Taal. Not only Suraj Tal lake is the third larget lake in India but it is also at the number 21 when we talk about the largest lakes in the World.

Suraj Tal lake can be reached through Leh-Manali Highway and is located about 65 KM from Keylong district. Suraj Tal is surrouded with lot of beautiful glaciers and streams which originates from Bara-lacha-la pass. Snowfall can be witnessed near Suraj Tal Lake area throughout the area. The lake is also known for its beautiful climatic conditions.
